Savannah Guthrie shares home videos with 'lovely' mom, Nancy
Published in News & Features
Savannah Guthrie on Thursday shared a few short home video clips of her mother, Nancy, as authorities continued searching for the missing 84-year-old and her suspected captor.
“Our lovely mom,” Guthrie captioned the Instagram post. “We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope.”
The post included old clips of Nancy playing with Savannah and her older sister, Annie, smiling in front of a garden and smelling the flowers. It also featured a black-and-white photo that showed their brother, Camron, when they were kids.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen alive on Jan. 31 and reported missing the following day after she failed to show up for church. Evidence indicates she was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Ariz., and police released photos of a man wearing gloves and a ski mask outside the residence.
Multiple ransom notes were sent to local TV stations and TMZ, reportedly demanding millions in cryptocurrency and containing details from the crime scene that were not publicly released.
On Wednesday, cops found a pair of black gloves while canvassing an expanded search area in the hunt for Guthrie. The gloves were sent for DNA testing, but no new suspects have been publicly named.
A local man, 27-year-old Carlos Palazuelos, was detained as a person of interest in the case earlier this week but later released.
