Nalin Haley, the son of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, on Wednesday announced the launch of a new Republican organization aimed at engaging young conservatives across three South Carolina counties.

In a post on X, Haley said he is serving as founder and chair of the Tri-County Young Republicans, a group organized in York, Lancaster and Chester counties. He described the mission as working to “equip, empower, and inform the next generation of American conservatives” through social gatherings, community service and meetings with politicians.

“The Tri-County Young Republicans are launching in York, Lancaster, and Chester counties — bringing together young conservatives ready to take action locally,” the organization said in a post on X. “We’re building leaders, supporting candidates, and strengthening our communities.”

Nalin Haley is a Villanova graduate and frequently shares his views on Republican politics on social media. The Wall Street Journal said in an article last year he is “more MAGA than his mom,” after he said Vice President JD Vance would be his preferred presidential candidate and called for stopping legal immigration in the US altogether, despite being the grandchild of Indian immigrants.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Nalin Haley said he held nationalist and America first views after first coming to Republican politics through Ben Shapiro “rage bait” videos online.

According to the organization’s website, the Tri-County Young Republicans is a nonprofit focused on providing “a space for young adults … who identify with conservative and Republican principles to connect, learn, and participate in local civic life.” The group says it intends to emphasize leadership development, political education and community involvement, while fostering discussion around issues including faith, personal responsibility, the economy and regional growth.

The website states that membership is open to registered Republicans ages 18 to 40. An annual membership costs $35 for individuals and $45 for couples.

“We are building a network of young professionals who are serious about leadership and civic responsibility.,” the website states. “This is where the next generation steps forward.”
