The mugshot snapped after Britney Spears was arrested for DUI in California earlier this month will not be made public.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Grammy-winner’s booking photo “does not fall within the requirements and is considered discretionary.”

“It is our practice to release booking photos for violent crimes or when an individual is an immediate threat to the public,” a sheriff’s office official told Us Weekly. “The charges being brought against Brittany Spears does not warrant release in accordance with our policy.”

Spears was arrested on March 4 just before 9:30 p.m. and booked into the Ventura County Jail. She was released hours later, and her arraignment hearing has been scheduled for May 4

According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol, a black BMW was reported “for driving erratically at a high rate of speed” that night around 8:48 p.m. Highway patrol officers pulled over the vehicle, traveling southbound at the time on US-101 in Newbury Park, near the Westlake Boulevard exit not far from Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks.

The “Toxic” singer was alone inside the car and authorities said showed signs of impairment. An unknown substance was also found in the vehicle, sources told TMZ.

After a series of sobriety tests, the 44-year-old pop star was detained and immediately taken to a hospital so authorities could determine her blood-alcohol content, CHP said. The results of those tests have not yet been made public.
