Billie Lourd stays connected to Carrie Fisher by raising her kids in the same house where she grew up.

The Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story actress, 34, is sad her children - son Kingston, five, and daughter Jackson, three, with husband Austen Rydell - will never be able to get to know the Star Wars legend following her death in 2016 and their grandmother Debbie Reynolds, who died a day after Carrie, but she's keeping the family history alive by staying in the home she used to share with them both.

Billie - whose father is Carrie's ex-husband Bryan Lourd - told The Sunday Times newspaper: "I'm still in the house! It's the most incredible thing that I got to keep this house, because my mom and dad bought it together and I grew up there.

"So my kids get to know my mom through this house because this house is my mom ... Her energy is still in the house. And that really is such a gift."

Billie went on to explain she watches her mother and grandmother's most famous movies with her kids to give them a sense of who they were.

She added: "We watch the movies. They love Singin' in the Rain and they're already obsessed with Star Wars.

"Some days it feels beautiful to watch them and some days it makes me feel really bummed they died when they did. Anyone who's lost someone can understand that.

"OK, they're not usually watching a crazy sci-fi movie, but it's the same feeling you get from watching home movies".

Billie also insisted she isn't scared of being labelled a "nepo baby" because of her family's Hollywood connections - insisting she's proud to come from a line of successful women.

She told the publication: "I love gushing about them because they were the greatest. It's the coolest lineage to be a part of ...

"They really were two of the most talented women of all time and I feel so lucky to live under their glittery umbrellas.

"For a while I tried to hide from it but now I say it loud and proud - I'm Carrie Fisher's daughter and I'm Debbie Reynolds's granddaughter, and I feel so lucky to be able to say that."
