The Trustfall Test
To release the grip, whether in emotions, creativity, intimacy or other, signals a belief that there's something to cradle the fall or, ultimately, there's something better to surrender to. Trustfalls only end well with trustworthy people and circumstances. The Venus and Jupiter opposition warns against lazy investments of faith and calls for strategies based on observable patterns.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). One person's "mistake" is another person's moment to shine. When someone forgets, it creates an opening for someone else to remember. A task missed becomes a "good catch." Slips aren't failure; rather, they set the stage for collaboration.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The delayed reward finally arrives! Wow, this is more than expected and so worth the wait. But of course, you never really waited. Sure, time passed, but you busied yourself. You may have even forgotten this was coming. Surprise and congratulations.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your magic today is that you're not inclined to complicate things. You find the good in what you've already done, make it sound impressive and remind yourself that you're already winning by being here.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). All partnerships involve negotiation and trade-offs. It is best to accept the tension between your own desires and the other person's as inevitable, and take heart in the fact that harmony prevails alongside compromise.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Some will "get" you, and others won't. It's a liberation. You don't have to present to everyone. And if you do decide to take a risk and do your thing, it's merely a strength exercise. Courage is the muscle to build.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Powerful people have a tendency toward pride. They would often rather appear strong than receive care. They sometimes don't trust help or just prefer to go it alone. You're sensitive, respectful and accommodating, which makes you a favorite.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Clarity is your gift. You'll make important distinctions. You'll see the difference between power and leadership, taste and money, beauty and conformity. Because of this, your decisions resonate with nobility that makes a difference in the world.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Things have changed. Take a moment to figure out the niche that fits you best. Self-questioning helps. For instance: When you finish a job, how do you feel? Are you ready to try again immediately? Or are you just relieved?
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It's the move of champions: Put yourself in the company of people you can learn from. If you feel a bit nervous or somehow inadequate around them, that's actually a good sign -- a harbinger of personal growth to come.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Everything seems important, which makes prioritizing a challenge. What's worth working on now: being present to what's going on inside you. Knowing yourself better makes the ideal order of events obvious.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). As you apply your talent, business just keeps favoring you. It feels like you're playing, though very purposefully. Anyone you once thought of as competition now occurs to you as more of a trainer or perhaps a muse.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Control is often protective armor. People cling to control to feel safe, secure or "on top" of things. Letting go of it means exposing yourself. So, paradoxically, losing control often shows more strength than holding onto it.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Oct. 11). Welcome to your Year of Brilliant Bonding featuring collaborations that rocket your work, thrill your people and net you a tidy sum, too. In the glow of partnerships rich in matched minds and good chemistry, your days, projects and priorities flow into an elegant, smooth-running daily life. More highlights: You'll take a leadership role. Your best ideas will be noticed by the right people. A side project or passion turns into a calling card. Aries and Cancer adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 24, 1, 19 and 30.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Joan Cusack will soon reprise her role as Jessie in "Toy Story 5." From the moment she tried to drink from the water fountain in her tragic headgear, the Libra star won the hearts of lifelong fans who followed her from "Sixteen Candles" through film credits verging into the triple digits. Cusack is a loveable Libra (with Mercury also in this artistic realm) and follows her Pisces moon intuition across genre lines of comedy, horror, drama and more.
